KAITAGS from the CAUCASUS
Rare Silk Embroideries from Daghestan

Six silk floss embroideries by women from
just two mountain villages in south Daghestan.
Only seen in the West since the 1980s these
rare works from the 17th to the 20th centuries
are characterised by dynamic geometric and
organic designs which can recall the art of
European artists like Klee and Matisse.

TIVOLI RENOVATION UPDATE

Renovations to Tivoli's new Art Gallery space continue this week but we are now open again with a Book Sale Table outside. Massive reductions over the next week or so on all stock no longer carried by Tivoli.

The upcoming exhibition in the new gallery space is MULTIPLEX -  works from private collections (for sale) opening date TBA. Artists include Don Binney, Pat Hanly, Denis O'Connor, Eduardo Paolozzi, Juliet Peters, Paula Rego and more.

Tivoli is currently closed while renovations are underway as we shift from being a bookshop with Art Wall, to Art Gallery with Book Nook. We will be opening soon.  Events, film screenings and personal book orders will continue.

TIVOLI RE-JIGS 
March - April

Tivoli is currently morphing from bookshop with Art Wall into
Artspace with Book Alley. Films, talks and other events will continue.
The art exhibits will now have more space and emphasis.

'Book Alley' stock will focus on artists' books, graphic novels, private press books, old penguins and selected politics and poetry books. A quirky selection of other books including Waiheke publications
will be on available.

Films, new exhibitions and other events will continue after the renovations.
